Guilin Medical University
Founded in 1935, Guilin Medical University(GMU)is one of the “Excellent Universities” in the National Undergraduate Teaching Quality Evaluation and one of the first batch of “The Sites for Education and Cultivation of Outstanding Doctors Projects” rated by the Ministry of Education of China, and is named “the bright medical pearl that glistens in the northern Guangxi”. Located in the beautiful tourism city of Guilin, GMU has three fascinating campuses of Lequn, Dongcheng and Lingui, with a total construction area of 850,000 square meters.
At present, GMU has 20 colleges covering four disciplines including medicine, science, law and management and offers 20 undergraduate programs, 25 postgraduate programs and 5 higher vocational programs. It also owns 6 affiliated hospitals and 23 hospitals for clinical teaching. GMU has now 14 construction programs on national and provincial levels. Over the past five years, the faculty have undertaken a total of 952 scientific research projects and published over 3,232 academic papers, including 240 in SCI. GMU ranked among the top 100 Chinese universities with the most influential academic papers in 2015 and 2016.
The total number of faculty and medical personnel is more than 4,000, including 911 full-time teachers,218 professors,508 associate professors and 311 doctoral and masters’ supervisors. Currently, 30,000 full-time students are studying on campus. GMU students’ passing rate of National Medical License Examination exceeds the national average by 10% and the passing rate of Nursing Qualification Examination is 100% yearly. Also, the employment rate of graduates is consistently beyond 90% yearly. In 2014,an outstanding alumnus Mr. Jiang Rensheng, the Chairman of the Board of a public company, donated RMB 50 million Yuan in his own name for the construction of the new library and ranked among the Top 100 Chinese Philanthropists in 2014.GMU is one of the earliest universities approved by Ministry of Education of P. R.C. to recruit international students, and has established partnerships with many universities in America, Australia, Thailand and Vietnam. Now, GMU has more than 450 international students studying on campus from America, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia,Laos,Indonesia,Nepal,Pakistan,India and Nigeria.
The Clinical Medicine Program
The major of clinical medicine of Guilin Medical University is a Provincial Distinctive Major and a Provincial Key Major of Guangxi, which got the professional accreditation of the Ministry of Education of the PRC in 2012.
Educational objectives:
The objective is to cultivate practical senior medical talents with solid basic theories and skills of medicine, and qualified for the work of medical care, prevention and healthcare, medical scientific research in medical sectors and medical research institutions.

Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Microbiology and Immunology, Physiology, Pathological Anatomy, Pathological Physiology, Diagnostics, Image Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Otolaryngology, Stomatology, etc.
1. A foreign citizen equivalent to a Chinese senior high school degree or above and graduated in recent three years;
2. Good health, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, obey the school teaching arrangement;

Step 1: Applicants apply on line with Edumatch Overseas
Step 2: Applicants send all the documents to the official e-mail: info@edumatchoverseas.com with the title “Passport No.+ Name-Documents for Admission” application materials to the international education college of Guilin Medical University by email;
Step 3: Admission office of College of International Education check applicants’ documents, inform applicants to take entrance examination and interview;
Step 4: College of International Education announce “Proposed admission list” on the office University website;
Step 5: Admission office submit the applicants’ documents to education department for JW202;
Step 6: Admission office deliver formal JW202 and Admission Letter;
Step 7: Applicants apply for X1 visa for registration in university.

1. Statement on the Chinese proficiency requirement: The main courses of the first academic year are Chinese training courses; all the undergraduate students should pass HSK 4 before the second academic year, only the students who pass HSK 4 can continue the second academic year’s medical courses; All the undergraduate students should pass HSK 5 before entering to the graduation internship, the students who fail to pass HSK 5 are not allowed to enter Graduation Internship and bachelor’s degree cannot be conferred.
2. Statement on the date of registration: The students admitted by Guilin Medical University must come to university for registration within the date mentioned in the Admission Letter, university won’t allow the students who come late to do registration nor do the visa extension, the students must take the consequences by themselves.
